Day 2729 - Wellness Wednesday Weekly Check in

Are you feeling fit and fabulous yet?

I've got to admit, I'm still not feeling that fit.  Nor overly fabulous, but thanks to a new set of eyebrows, the fabulous is on the rise.

Here's my weekly check in:

Food is going well and I'm finding that when I'm out for dinner and lunch I am naturally being drawn to the lovely salads rather than the pizzas and burgers which were taking over my life only a few weeks ago.  So that's got to be a good thing, right?

The exercise got gazumped this week because I'm just too bloody busy. As you know my exercise takes place at dawn and right now I've been answering emails from soccer parents at that time of day. Hundreds of emails. So it's possible my butt is starting to spread across my chair again instead of firming up via the power walking.  We'll get back to the exercise next week.

Mindset is good.  I'm still wondering why my boobs are continuing to grow when I'm trying to shed a few centimetres off my ever widening peri-menopausal frame, but my husband just puts that down to his power of positive thinking.  I'll whack him over the head for that later.

Energy is great.  Because of my food choices I can see I have more energy in my day and I'm not getting as sluggish around lunch time.

As for the pain, well, that's still a work in progress.  But with the gentle reduction of fat, dairy, sugar and those heavy carbs, I do think that perhaps my fibromyalgia and migraine pain may be starting to ease up.

And finally, when it comes to the fabulous bit, I'm enjoying wearing my autumn uniform of jeans, jacket and boots again, and I'm loving that I now have eyebrows! Yep ... I got micro blading done yesterday and once the scabs fall off (charming) I'm going to have perfect arches in which to frame my face.  I'll reveal all that later!

How's your health and wellness this week?

What about your fit and fabulous mindset?

Have you heard of micro blading?

  1. Fingers crossed that the dietary tweaks help your fibromyalgia and migrane pain.

When I was doing a nutrition plan, the first place I lost from was the boobs. Actually, I think it was pretty much the only place that I lost from.

  2. I've never heard of micro-blading. My eyebrows are pretty thin - a result of over-plucking decades ago and hypothyroidism!

It's good you're being careful with food as they say it's more about the food than the exercise when maintaining / losing weight.

I love hearing your thoughts! Keep them rolling in :)
