This is the stuff that memories are made of.

The Easter Bunny left a little something for everyone |
The best thing about annual celebrations like Easter, Christmas, Mothers Day, Fathers Day and birthdays is the memories that are created when you surround yourself with family and friends.
It's not the every day that sticks in our minds the most. It's the special days where people put in an effort to be together.
Ever notice how so many of those memories involve a feast?
This feast was lovingly created by my mum (who is a hell of a lot more clever in the kitchen than I am).

Roast lamb |

Roast vegetables |

A beautiful table setting |
 |
Lemon and mint infused water |
 |
Easter decorations |
 |
A beautifully concocted dessert of steamed pumpkin pudding with maple syrup, cream and ice cream |
The best part of this celebration was getting to spend time with my grandmother. At 95 we don't know how much longer she'll be part of our memory creations.

Creating memories |
Happy Easter everyone!
I hope created some precious memories of your own.
Beautiful Leanne! My grandmother passed away the year before I was born (the last of the grandparents) and my mother passed away 30 years ago, so I'm feeling a little envious of you at the moment. Such wonderful times for you to keep tucked away for future reminiscing. Have a beautiful week.

Oh wow. What a beautiful time you all had and your mum sounds amazing. That is so lovely too that you got to spend time with your grandmother. Much love. Denyse x

So lovely that you got to spend time with family and your gorgeous grandmother (she looks amazing for her age!) for Easter Leanne - we had our two adult kids + spouses + grandbaby + two extra cats for the Easter break and it has been beyond wonderful. They've all gone now and I am tired but blissed out.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a wonderful Easter. Always love a roast :) You're right in that most of these occasions are a good reason to form memories
ReplyDeleteOh yum! Your mum is a dab hand at the roast :D
ReplyDeleteI went to Mr M's parents place for dinner and his dad made ham but had spent the whole day before making this three-tiered coconut cake. It was a sight to behold. And I could have happily eaten that as dinner :)
