As someone who gets the "winter blues", I focus very hard on the little things the colder months have to offer to perk me up. Like wood fires. porridge, Ugg boots and doonas. We can safely add to this list the ease of winter clothing.
When it comes to my winter wardrobe I'm very predictable. As we discovered last year, I have a signature style which consists of boots, jackets and scarves.

My favourite look right now is to pair my US Express branded longline tee with a zipped up leather jacket over denim jeans and ankle boots. Finding the right scarf not only keeps me warm, but helps to highlight different aspects of the outfit on any given day.
The best part is that this styling is affordable and each item transfers easily from year to year.
Scarves: KMart, Cotton On, markets $7-$20 each
Boots: FSW $50-$70 a pair
Tees: Express clothing USA, KMart $8-$20 each
Jeans: Levis outlet $50
Jackets: Collected over the years from outlets and leather markets $50-$140 each
I'm having a love affair with boots, jackets and scarves.
What's on your style file right now?
Are you a leather jacket enthusiast?

I love scarves. I had the best boots but they're wearing out (they're atleast a decade old) and I can't find suitable replacements. It's depressing! (I know - life's tough)
ReplyDeleteI'm a boots & scarves girl, but have never owned a leather jacket & these days can't fit into my jeans. As an aside, that look is fabulous on you.
ReplyDeleteI'm a big scarf and snood fan and loving boots at the moment. My latest fave jacket is a blue corduroy hooded coat I grabbed at the op shop for $10- it's lined and has pockets. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteYou don't need to spend a lot to look fabulous do you Leanne? I love boots, jackets and scarves but alas living in Brisbane there are only a few cold days to wear them. I'll need to visit Canberra so I can show off my lovely leather jacket and boots! Have a great week.

Four leather jackets!!! I only have one which is hot pink and I wouldn't be seen dead in it, however I can't make myself throw it out! I have a very good quality Sportscraft navy blue anorak that I wear everywhere during the colder months. I like skinny jeans, ankle boots, long cotton tees and scarves to brighten things up. Very similar to your style really. #TeamLovinLife
ReplyDeleteYou might not love the season...and I get that but you sure do rock the winter outfits my dear. I can see where model daughter gets her looks and style from Leanne. xxxxx
ReplyDeleteIt seems you also like rips in your jeans! I hate winter and really need to get some warm clothes!! You look fab x
ReplyDeleteMy style is very similar but I wear t-shirts rather than long sleeve shirts, and cardies rather than leather jackets - to cater for our warmer winters here in Bris-Vegas. Needless to say I think you have great style!!!
ReplyDeleteOoh me too. And I love your style :) Sometimes though I'll swap the jacket for a long cardigan. But boots, short and long are a mainstay for winter.
ReplyDeleteI've never owned a leather jacket - I don't think I have the right vibe to pull it off. I do love jeans and boots and I think it's time for a new pair of boots this winter - some of those cute little ankle ones that are everywhere might be way to go. You can certainly rock a leather jacket btw!
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to have a "recipe"----it does make it so much easier!!
ReplyDeleteBesides, it looks great on you Leanne!!
