I'm not actually here. This is all an illusion.
You're not actually reading this post. Nope. You think you are, but you're not. It's not possible to be reading this post because I'm off-line and am not writing posts.
The reason I'm off line (and not writing this post) is because I've run away to my special hiding spot so I can work on all things Cheer Chick Charlie.
I'd originally marked this week in my diary to write book ten of the series. But that has been put to the side due to more pressing matters.
My new distributor is waiting patiently for me to get all nine books to him in raw manuscript format so his people can reformat them and get them print ready for re-launch in Australia and international distribution (in both eBook and POD format). So I'm going through my books again to make some quick fixes and improvements. The odd grammatical error and punctuation mistake. Or something like that.
It's taking hours of course. As I write this post I'm six books down and still have three books to go. So I need to get back to it.
But before I do, the things I'm lovin this week are that I have a hiding spot to run away to.
That I have a husband who is able to single parent so I can do this.
That I am able to press pause on all my other projects and clients for a few days.
That I can eat crackers and dip for dinner if I want to.
That I can stay in my PJs and not communicate with the outside world at all.
That nobody knows I'm here.
That it's torrential rain outside (and has been the entire time I've been here) and that's totally fine because I'm trapped indoors and strapped to my computer anyway.
That I'm making progress and able to tick off a great big heavy to-do.
That when I've finished today I get to pack up, go home and be surrounded by family again.
What are you lovin' about life?
Do you ever go off-line?
Got any big fat to-dos marked off your list this week?
Anyone else able to live on crackers and cream cheese?

A re-launch of your books sounds very exciting. Soon you'll be able to pop that champagne to celebrate. Have a fabulous week!
ReplyDeleteThat is SO exciting!! Congratulations. You're an international author now....(I've been translated into German, so I am too, technically...just not in print...yet ;)
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful that your books are going to be re-born (so to speak) and I wish you alllll the very best as you have this success to consider that is actually belonging to ONE person: yes, you! Happy writing Thursday. I am off to Westmead in the nasty weather hoping that everyone on the roads plays nice! I will be. Denyse xx
ReplyDeleteA relaunch in Australia and internationally sounds exciting! And I envy you for having a hiding hole to run away to to concentrate on getting things done! I need one of those too!

What an exciting time for your Leanne and Congratulations on sticking to your goals. Can't wait for the books to be released. Have a great week and we won't tell anyone you have come out of hiding to write this post LOL:)
ReplyDeleteA big job, but exciting at the same time. I'll be going completely offline in a few weeks when we go to France - the first holiday in years where I won't be taking my laptop with me.
ReplyDeleteGo you!! I promise I won't telI anyone you were here! I have been known to work in my PJs, particularly on rainy days! Otherwise I work in my lycra tights most days. Good luck with the book writing.
ReplyDeleteOh that last photo has my mouth watering. My kind of snack!! Only 3 books to go - you're doing great! I love it when I'm tucked away indoors and have nowhere I have to go when it's pouring rain outside. You're amazing with all that you do ... but I don't really know that because I didn't really see you or read this or know anything. Am I still asleep and dreaming?! #TeamLovinLife
ReplyDeleteYou're amazing!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving that my hubby is retired and we can spend the day at the museum like we did today!!
XOXO

It all sounds so exciting - you are like the authors I read about in novels - all holed up and adding the finishing chapters to their latest novel. It's nice to know someone famous :)
ReplyDeleteWishing you a very productive period off the grid, Leanne!

How wonderful! Love that you have a secret hiding spot and that dip and crackers doesn't look too shabby. Hope it's all going well, and well done YOU!
ReplyDeleteHope things are going well with your book editing! Dip and crackers actually sounds delicious for dinner!

I'd love a place to run away to sometimes, a little cottage somewhere would do. I wouldn't care where. I might complain that life is far too busy at the moment, but hey, I am here, I am enjoying doing things I want to do, and I have family and friends who love and support me, so there is nothing to complain about. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteIt's funny as I live alone and am pretty isolated at my house. I have neighbours but we all have double blocks and I'm on a corner so rarely see each other. And yet I sometimes feel like I'd like to get away to have a break / do some writing. I've realised it's about a state of mind rather than a place and I'm glad you've found somewhere that you can do that. x
