Day 3302 - Photo Shoot for Cheer Chick Charlie

"I just want kids to feel good about themselves"

Photographer Penny captured Darcie and the ducks who were strutting their stuff
I've been in desperate need to update my Cheer Chick Charlie promotional photos (for years if the truth be known), so last week I organised for 8 children in the Charlie age dynamic to become models for a day.

As I was reaching out to find girls in that age range, I was just hoping there were enough children who'd want to do it. I was hoping I wasn't impacting on their weekend too much and they didn't feel my silly little promo shoot was burdensome.

I didn't have to worry.  Apparently to be asked to be part of a Charlie photo shoot had these 8 young ladies bouncing up and down in glee.

What I thought was me asking them a huge favour was actually me allowing them to be part of "the best day of their life" (actual quote from 3 different children).

In the lead up to the shoot, one parent came to me and said my books had helped her daughter tremendously when she was going through anxieties.  To be part of the Cheer Chick Charlie photo shoot was the best thing that had ever happened to her.

It turns out I was creating a day for these kids that was greater than my promo shoot.

It takes good core strength to be a photographer
I really hope that my books help kids believe in themselves.  That's why I write them.  What I didn't realise is that I can extend that to so much more of the Cheer Chick Charlie brand.

Girls need to be reassured they're gorgeous.  They are beautiful inside and out, they have something special to offer the world and their smile alone makes them stand out in a crowd.

I just want kids to feel good about themselves.  That's what Cheer Chick Charlie is all about.

I don't want to spoil the promotional surprises that will be rolling out over the next couple of months, so I won't share all the snaps from the shoot on Deep Fried fruit, but here is a sneak peek of a few photos from Saturday.

I can't wait for you to see the rest.  Keep an eye out for these gorgeous girls - coming to a social media feed near you!
