Day 3611 - Grand Final Time

How passionate are you about your sports?

When you get into the Grand Final

I've never been that much into sports. Until now.

Once upon a time I'd be somewhat interested in the Rugby League grand final and I definitely used to get quite involved in the State of Origin.

When I met my husband we would go to the Canberra Canons basketball and the Canberra Raiders Rugby League, but then my enthusiasm for the died off.

Then I started to fade in the whole sporting arena.  I just couldn't get enthused or excited about any of it.

Until my son introduced me to soccer football. Suddenly I'm back in the game! (pun intended)

As you know I volunteer A LOT of my time for my son's football club.  We have 1600 players ranging from under 5s to Masters.  We have Community competitive teams, just for fun teams and we have our National Premier League stream.

Well, for the first time in our Club's history our 1st Grade Premier League men have made it to the Grand Final.  This is no ordinary feat.  We actually started the season on minus 6 points due to some sort of aged debt in the Club that they punished our players for. Horrible really.  Devastating start to the season.  But here we are about the play the Grand Final on Saturday night.

Gungahlin United Football Club - Gooooo Gunners!!
Let me tell you - I couldn't be prouder. I'll be that one SCREAMING from the sidelines.

I'm suddenly very passionate about my sport.

How about you, do you get into sports?

What do you follow?

Are you a screamer?

What are you lovin about life this week?

There's so much to love if you're wearing the right glasses.

  1. I used to be. As a kid I loved ALL sports and that continued into my 20s. I used to trudge around Brisbane to watch basketball, baseball, gridiron, football etc but then when I went overseas I completely lost interest and have never regained it.

I took my niece to a basketball game when she was little (about 15yrs ago) and I remember being surprised at how passionate the crowd was and it occurred to me that I was once like that.

  3. The AFL Grand Final always gets me emotional. Even if I don't follow either of the final two teams.

  4. I've been a sports observer and somewhat of a fan at times. I like it when teams have worked hard and get the rewards of a Grand Final Entry. Go your guys!! PS. You may need to ask your parents about this one...age wise I mean. But there is a rugby league trophy for the winners of the Grand Final in NRL and it depicts two captains on it. One from the losing team(Wests) and the winner (St George) based on a crowded, wet, muddy grand final in 1963. I WAS there as a teen with my parents and brother. Go the Black and Whites...and that's your colours I see.

  5. I was always a rugby league fan growing up & when I lived in Canberra went to lots of raiders games. Then of course there was Grant's football (soccer) which I faithfully went to for almost 30 years (he went on a "career break" at the age of 54 and hasn't played since lol). These days? Not so much. yay to your team. There is NOTHING better than when your team is there on grand final day.

  6. I'm afraid I'm not into sports. I like watching a bit of tennis and some olympic or commonwealth games sports like gymnastics for example but not a footy or cricket fan. I understand that I'm not the norm though and I love to see others get joy from it! :-) #TeamLovinLife

  7. sad to say I am not a ball sports person, though I do go and watch my grandsons play soccer and hockey. My sport of choice was dragon boat racing, but I've retired from that now. Have a great week and thank you for the link up.

  9. This shows what impact does different negative and fake reviews of service and how it can affect the business.
Reviews or testimonials regarding any service are the only way to get an idea about its quality and credibility. My Assignment Help Review feedbacks from students all over the world. MyAssignmenthelp.com reviews show the dedication and efforts the company put to ensure 100% quality. Although most of the reviews are positive, but there are testimonials with negative feedback as well.
It is needless to say that if the students are convinced that edubirdie review is not a good, they will definitely not opt for it. Therefore, if the number of negative and fake reviews is increased on reputed sites, the sale can rapidly get down.
To counter this issue, the only way is to go through or read Services that are posted on the site,
However, essayshark review and Uk essays review posted on the sites are very small.
