Disney
Disney Australia chose Leanne as the Australia blogger to join the official Australian media team who attended the Grand Opening of Cars Land at Disneyland LA in 2012. Leanne wore her Mickey Mouse ears with pride as she joined her Disney Australia hosts and a bunch of Australian print journalists on a tour of Magic Kingdom and got to report at the red carpet event that marked the opening of Cars Land at California Adventure Park. Samsung
Samsung went on a world wide search to find five bloggers to report at the London Olympics in 2012. Leanne and Deep Fried Fruit were proud Samsung Global Blogger finalists - one of 100 to make the final cut from all corners of the globe. Leanne did not make it to the Olympics but in this case the silver medal was just as sweet.
Kidspot Top 50 Blogger
Deep Fried Fruit was rated as one of the Kidspot's top 50 Australian blogs in 2011, an event sponsored by Ford Australia.
Media and speaking gigs
In the media Leanne has featured on the Switch 1197 FM breakfast show in Brisbane and she has spoken at business events around the ACT including as a featured speaker at the Canberra Business Council. She has had regional newspaper coverage in ACT and surrounds, plus author coverage in Pennsylvanian newspapers in the USA. Her children's books have featured in a number of Australian magazines include Little Angel, Girl Power and the Australian Cheerleader Magazine. Leanne speaks at various events both in Australia and overseas as an author, blogger and consultant. Her presentations are always well received and a great opportunity for product placements and mentions.
Children's Book Author
Leanne is the creator of Cheer Chick Charlie, a children's book series and associated product line to not only entertain kids, but to also help them with their confidence, resilience, health and fitness. The Cheer Chick Charlie brand is growing both within Australia and in the USA. It won't be long before Cheer Chick Charlie becomes an easily recognisable face in Aussie households. Leanne has done author talks in the USA and Australia, and continues to travel around schools in her "spare time".
